Covering Carbon Grips

What are some of the options for covering a carbon foam grip? Can you wrap them with thread? Thanks

The carbon is the covering over the rigid foam.

Not sure why you would want to cover the cover, but if you do, anything you can put over it will work.

My bad Tom. I am meaning other ways to cover the 'rigid foam'? Have not worked with them yet. Thanks

Unless you go above about 10lb foam, you'll want some sort of coating that provides dent and chip resistance. Once the foam gets that dense, however, it becomes heavier than cork or EVA.
