I have a few questions that some of you may know the answers to. I just purchased Loomis GL2 (HS 1021) blank on ****.
1. Does the lifetime blank warranty travel with the blank? In other words, is the warranty still in effect even though I am not the original purchaser? 2. If the warranty is in effect and Loomis designates this as a casting blank, would the warranty be voided if I change specs when building up the rod? Can I change it to a spinning rod, change the handle configuration, guides and layout, etc. or do I need to stay close to factory specs? Thank you for any information. You can't get a replacement blank at any rate, since Loomis no longer sells blanks. You might get a replacement rod (GL2) if something was to happen that Loomis deemed to be a defect in the blank.
Your best course is always to check with the manufacturer. Loomis is really the only one that can tell you what they will or won't do if you experience a broken rod with their product. ................. Re: loomis warranty questions
