He will be throwing quick fish with herring for Kings in Alaska and plans to throw bait for cat fish, so, I would say an ounce to several ounces. Re: Help me find a blank

For quick fish you dont cast them anyway and a more moderate rod works better running them. Regards, Todd Vivian Mud Hole Custom Tackle todd@mudhole.com Re: Help me find a blank

Thanks Todd, I do realize that one does not cast a quick fish as I fished the Kenai for 20 yrs. Let me put it this way: Like so many customers over the years this guy wants the rod to work for two applications. I try hard to explain to folks that one rod cannot do it all and it is best to build for a specific application and if the rod works for others great.
IF ANYONE IS STILL FOLLOWING THIS I have one more question; I keep reading about the micro guide system and have yet to do one. What do you think about using it for this build??? A consideration is this customer states he wants 'maximum castability" I would really appreciate some feedback on this or should I stay with a standard casting guide setup?? Thanks, Doug Re: Help me find a blank
