I recently did a UofL themed build on a castaway xp3 965 (trimmed to 7'10") for a customer (actually it was my first build for a customer since I've started), and with Mr. Stevens' advice, I ran all micro 4's on top. I used Fuji K for the build ss alconites. I believe I ended up using 10 guides. I ended up deciding to put the butt guide at 22" from the top of the real seat threads after doing some test casting. This gave a little bit more of an angle than I wanted, but I had no issues casting or line rub, and I was able to space my guides a little better to distrubute the load.

This is what my customer had to say: "I fished a DD22 with it and was impressed. The long handle was awesome, and I could cast that crankbait a mile! The sensitivity was excellent and just what I was hoping for."

I ended up putting a 11" handle on it.
