Roger you are correct and we have instructed the factory not to splice going forward. There may be some spools out there that are but they should disappear over time. If you have any please contact us for replacement. Joe

Joe,
Wonderful.
Thanks for the quick response. It will make any folks that have had the misfortune to get one of the knotted spools happy.

Just my 2 cents worth. I've had problem also in the past. What I do if I have a weave to and have a suspect spool is to use an old spool and do a respool for the job I'm doing. Then you can catch the knots before they end up in your weave. Problem fixed.

I've also had problems with other brands. But if I have a weave to do, and have a suspect spool, I grab an old spool and do a respool. Then you can catch any knots before you wrap them into your weave. Easy fix and takes no time at all. Aaahhh peace of mind.; Woody.
Oops doubled up on posts. Diddn't think last one went in. Was on 2nd page. Silly me.

Thanks Joe,
The splices ive come across are very good and 9 times out of 10 they dont create any problems to me....its the knots i cant handle, I would have liked you to say "no knots going forward but some splicing will remain... and i have no idea how i can tell if i have a suspect spool..!!! do they make a noise when you shake them or smell different than the others....lmao..
anyway......Ive aired it, plenty of responses and the manufacturers have replied.......all very good.....great.

thanks again.... (I wont say another word about it..)

Owen.

I don't like the tight twist of the thread. Try to hold 4-6 threads together to speed up a wrap and the thread has that twist in it that makes it hard to keep several threads together and lay Flat
