Looking to try a Batson XSB782 as a walleye jig rod. I have had luck with most brands SJ782 blanks for the application. Just looking for something a bit lighter in weight. Has anyone compare the XSB to a SJ as far as power and action? Re: XSB782 vs SJ782

Mitch, both are very nice blanks. I pulled both from stock and the XSB782 has a faster action, more power, weighs less, and has a much nicer 'titanium finish'. The XSB782 weighs 1.34 oz. and the SJ782 weighs 2.62oz. We have both on hand and would be happy to help anyway we can. Check your weight on the SJ. Seems like you're about 1/2oz heavy.
