Tyring to match an exisiting blank that a customer of mine already has. It is a 20lb spinning blank from the Legacy Series of Biscayne Rods. Anyone know what type of blank this series uses? Re: 20lb Spinning Blank

Jesster,
A good starting point to match blanks is to measure the butt diameterr and the tip diamete of the blank to be matched. Then go to your blank catalog and find the blanks that match the butt and tip diameters. This will eliminate about 90% of the blanks that you don't want. Then, it is a matter of going through the blanks, and or using the CCS system to put parameters on the blank that you are trying to match, out of the blanks that have the same butt and tip diameter. If you have worked with a few blanks, you should already have a pretty good handle on the speed of the blank. i.e. slow, moderate, fast, or extra fast. Then, comparing the blank and its flexing characteristics will give you a pretty good handle on the power of the blank. Good luck Roger Re: 20lb Spinning Blank

Biscayne Rods will sell you the blank. Give them a call. I do think other brands offer better value but he wants that blank go for it. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: 20lb Spinning Blank

Russ....what is an equivalent brand (model #?) that is a better value for around the same price? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
