Snakeskin Inlay

Just put on a snakeskin inlay (my first). Due to a poor job of fitting the skin buckled at the seam while drying. Can I remove the skin without ruining it and reapply?

Sure but you have to be sorta careful. Wet a brush with CP and apply it as you pull the skin off. Then just recut it and reapply. EZPZ

Thanks, Matthew. It worked!!!! In case anyone else needs to remove and reapply a snakeskin inlay just make sure to take your time. Start at the seam and slowly and carefully begin to peel and lift the skin a little bit at a time. If you hit a stubborn spot put on some color preserver and let it sit for a while. In the meantime work on another area of the skin. It took me over an hour but the end result is a perfectly fitting skin with no damaged scales or ripped skin. The main thing is to just be patient. Now I have another question, since the skins are pretty thick how do you put a trim band on?
