Has anyone used Hydra H2 rod blanks? I did a search on the forum on all dates and came up with zero. They are made in the U.S. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these blanks? David Dosser Coshocton, OH Re: Rod Blank question

i have a few from ALX rods. They are nice blanks, good quality - i really like the tapers and they seem to be a step above the mhx lineup in terms of overall weight for their size. Good lengths too - like getting a 7'3" blank without having to chop or extend. Hoping to fish them in a week or so once i FINALLY get them done. Regards, -Justin Re: Rod Blank question

All I know is ALX rods and that they are made in the U.S. I've heard good things. Other than that you would have to contact someone on their website. David Dosser Coshocton, OH Re: Rod Blank question

as far as i know Alex is Hydra and is having the blanks manufactured per his specs in the states. I'm sure he will find this and dispel all doubt! Regards, -Justin Re: Rod Blank question

Early this year, I had Alex build a rod for my top tournament professional. He was heading to the Nationals and needed a new flipping stick. I didn't have the time to get it done due to family illness, so Alex stepped up to the plate. While that particular rod didn't take top honors in the finals, it did take top honors in the angler's rod locker. It is now his favorite weapon of choice when vying for the money each weekend. I don't know much about the blanks he is using, but I do know that my guy is extremely fussy and tough to please. IMO, that speaks volumes for Alex's work and products. Edited 2 time(s).
