My goog friend came by saturday to pick up his sons rod that I had done some repair work on and ask if I could make a multi pcs. spinning rod. He wants a 4pcs. 9' for 6 to 10lb. test line and to be used with 1/10th to 1/8th lures. My ? Is there a convention chart for fly rods to spinning? Thanks Guys.. Re: Fly to spin convention?

Because fly rods aren't rated for any particular power, there really is no such conversion. One company's 4-weight fly rod might be another company's 6-weight rod.
You can measure the blank by the URRS which will provide lure weight casting ranges no matter what type of blank it is, or you can fall back on the old, albeit inaccurate method, of using 16 for the denominator and the rated fly line weight number as the numerator. So a 4-weight fly rod becomes a spinning rod capable of casting 4/16ths or 1/4 ounce. But again, the problem is there is no standard for what constitutes a 4-weight fly rod. .....................
