Hello Everyone:
I have a co-worker that paid his dad a visit in Michigan, he wants me to build him a rod for fresh water. He stated the rod was about 11-12 ft long not a surf rod but long a s one with a spinning reel. I'm not sure what type of rod this would be or what type of blank would be used. The only thing I can think of might be a noodling rod ? I'm not even sure what type of rod that is. He did state over its used in fresh water for bass, crappies, sunnies, bluegills etc. I thought maybe someone built that rod using fly rod blank. He did tate it was a two peace rod?? Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks Fernando Torres-NERB. Re: What type of Rod

Possibly something like this?
[www.basspro.com] or< [www.basspro.com] or, [www.basspro.com] or, [www.basspro.com]’n’M-Ray-Scott-Telescopic-Jigger-Poles/product/10222877/-1742587 or: [www.basspro.com]®-Fishing-Six-Rivers-Salmon/Steelhead-Noodle-Rods/product/90109/-1319770 [www.basspro.com] --------------------------------- If you can get a lot more information on what fish are to be caught, where are the fish to be caught, etc. etc. Any added information would be very very helpful to get you the best blank and components to build a rod for this individual and his use for the rod. Take care Roger Re: What type of Rod

I'm from Michigan originally and I once built my father a couple of rods for similar applications. I used a fly rod blank and built it into a spinning rod. He seemed to enjoy them very much. I did the opposite for myself while living in Alaska near the Kenai River. I built a 7' popper blank into a fly rod to fish for reds. It was a great rod for that application. Just an idea. When you say it was used for panfish, sunfish etc. I'm thinking it might be a "crappie" rod. Re: What type of Rod

That also describes rods used by anglers in the UP fishing for herring. Re: What type of Rod
