I might have contaminated one of my syringes, if so should I clean it out with acetone . In my haste I think I might have cross loaded the hardener in the epoxy syringe by mistake. Time will tell if I've done it. What do you guys recommend if I did. I was thinking of loading the contaminated syringe with acetone. Bill.

denatured alcohol should clean it if it is still "wet"

I put the part in teh wrong syringe, and let it soak in the denatured alcohol it came out fine, like Ken P. said if it is still wet. or buy news ones i evenyually did, no more cleaning out old ones for me after they been through that, Oh, sorry this is not on this topic, but if I will, Billy! I was told that you knew the # to Surfmaster250, I need to get a hold of him about painting some rods that I am looking forward to getting. you all have a good one!

x2 for new ones ... they are MUCH cheaper than a botched epoxy job.

Throw it away and get new, definitely cheap insurance

Any time you buy them -- buy several. mark them with a permanent marker -A and B so you can see them

I think that the easiest, quickest and most accurate method is drilling a hole in each cap just big enough to tightly fit a syringe tip into. Invert the bottles and draw out the amount of finish you want and squirt into a mixing cup. Stick the syringe back into the cap and draw back an inch or so and place on a shelf until next time. When the bottles run dry take the caps/syringes off and place on new bottle. Never have to clean the syringes and you can't mix them up or lose them. I've been using the same syringes/caps for at least a couple years and NEVER clean them. Quick, easy, no mess, no fuss and consistent, no brainier measurements every time no matter how little you mix.

x2, although I did clean them once when they started looking really ugly.
