blank ID

I just took delivery of a blank from e***. It is a graphite blank, clear color, 8'-6", 12-25 line, 6.5 tip, .525 butt, and what feels like a fairly fast action. Any guesses on what this might be?

You already know the length, tip size and butt diameter. If possible, measure the action angle and ERN using the CCS and then you'll have a more complete idea of how the rod can best be used.

Thanks,
Chad Huderle

Just throwing it out there to see if I get lucky.

Also, trying to see if I got my money's worth. The rod had a label that said 110.00 on it but nothing else. I paid considerably less.

Any time you don't get a decal and find the blank bagged and tagged with an identification label, you're talking pot luck.

Ask yourself this question - if the blank were truly a high end model, selling for a bargain price, wouldn't the seller want you to be able to identify it so you'd know what a great deal you're getting? Why would any identifying nomenclature have been removed?

Tom,

I never expected to find a Loomis for the price I paid for this stick. I am buying cheap no name blanks to practice on. I'll fish them and see how they work out.

It may very well prove to be a blank you like very much. But you may never be able to discern exactly what it is or who made it, if that really makes any difference.
