Ima gonna put pink eva strips between the rings on this catfish rod.
Ya'll just use titebond glue or contact cement? Pearl white blank, purple guide frames with gold ring or the holo/tich,cork split grip with the eva strips. Pink guide wraps and a diamond fade in purple to pink. thanks, mikeb Billy thatsa nice checker board!!! Oh,Tom,, let me know if you can/do postum. Home Town,Gretna VA Re: EVA/Cork

When I used titebond III it did not hold on the eva, so I went to using rod bond on both sides of the eva, and it is pretty solid. Ron Weber Re: EVA/Cork

i use rubberized cork for endcaps on eva a lot. Contact cement will not hold up. I use an old razor like a trowel and put on a very thin coat of 5-min epoxy.
Probably not as big of a deal for what you are doing, but i would still consider epoxy. Just make to put in on thin or you will have a glue line. Give it a solid hour or 2 before turning. Regards, -Justin Re: EVA/Cork

Guess what I use that holds up just fine...contact cement. 2 coats and no problem, as long as it's reamed to fit. I use contact cement on cork ellipticals, guess what?? once again not a problem at all. 2 coats. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
