Its been a while since I posted as i have been out of rodbuilding for about a year. I am back up and going now and am about to attempt my first bass rod with micro guides and have several questions. Does normal static stress guide placement methods apply? Can these guides be used in conjunction with a simple spiral wrap? and if so... what pitfalls should I watch for in doing this? This phorum has always been a great source of assistance and information to me and I thank you all in advance for your help. Re: micro guides

Yes.
You could use the simple spiral with micros. But you will have better results by using a different spiral setup. the sharpness of the lines angle and the small ring tends to have a pinching effect on the line reducing casting distance. Or if you want to use the simple setup don't step down to micros until after you have made your transition to the bottom Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
