I just received the 7 back issues of RodMaker that Tom had posted about. He had some old back issues left, and was dealing them out.

What a great set! At a great price. These issues have some excellent articles in them. Amazing how 11 years ago, the concepts of rods with spirals, split grips, no for grips, and decorative weaves and wraps were published. This shows how a lot of the ideas now in production can be traced back to some of the great builders over the last 40 years or so. And what a good our suppliers do in getting these ideas into production and make available for us.

Tom, thanks for the deal. Again! I have bought several of these past issue deals from Tom. Any builder new to rod building in the last few years, like I am, you must get these back issues if possible. The information is fantastic.

Most of what you see concerning rod building on the internet today, was published in RodMaker a decade or more ago. Glad you're enjoying them.
