My daughter gave me a spinning rod that spent some time
in salt water, East Coast. I put on new guides and tip top on and filled the cork holes All seems to be in good casting form. I’m concerned about the effect of the salt water on graphite?? Anyone have the same problem? Mega thanks, Stanford Yerger Re: rod repair

It'll be okay. Fish it and don't worry about it.

I live on the east coast and fish in the salt all the time. We use graphite rods and graphite reel seats with no issues. You should have no problems with the graphite Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
