blank recommendations - walleye - light jigs with bait

Looking for a blank for walleye fishing. Will build as a spinning rod for boat fishing tossing light jigs 1/16-1/4 tipped with leeches, crawlers or minnow. Idea is to anchor and cast up to the weed line. need decent distance, rod soft enough to keep the bait on, ability to feel walleye bite and enough backbone to set a hook.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help
Jay

Look at the new Batson Walleye blank XSW62L.
Here is a link;

Another is the ISJ781 or ISB 780

Also consider the RX7 or RX8 IP840, 841, or Xp840, 841

Best wishes,

I have just finished building a north fork composites blank FW702- timmed to 6'10" and it seems to be the perfect blank.

It is on the dryer right now and I think it will be an exceptional blank for this very purpose.

Look at the Lamiglas LSJ842 or 862. Just about perfect for your application IMO.

Just what I was thinking. I picked up an LSJ842 for a different project and took some measurements. It would work for you.

All the above sugestions are awsome blanks for what your looking for. I also like the SJ720-MHX, L=6' , W=1.3, line 4-8, lure 1/32 - 1/4, X-FAST, ULTRA-LT, .385 butt, 5 tip. from mud hole.
