Re-application window before sanding

Hi all, I'm after peoples general opinion regarding the sanding back of thread coating epoxy.
I have been using Thread Master lite, and finding that I need to put on several coats.
Is it really necessary to sand the gloss off before recoating?
I remember reading somewhere (in relation to another brand) that up to 4 hours after application it was O.K. to re-coat, after that sanding was advised.

I can't see anything on the RodDancer website about it.
I'm reluctant to sand back a thin coat of epoxy as it is very easy to inadvertently raise little fuzzy bits of thread which causes all sorts of dramas, but after only 4 hours the ThreadMaster epoxy is still tacky.
I would much prefer to wait 12 hours or so then recoat without sanding, will this cause problems?

If you're recoating within a couple or three days, there is no need to sand anything.

Thank you. I am the exact same point. I have not had the chance to request the information until now.
