Have searched the yard sales and scrap bins and can't find what I'm looking for. Thought you guys might be able to help. I need to extend some blanks and I need graphite extensions whose smallest end diameter is .550" at the minimum. Need a pretty beefy wall but I still have to fit inside a 20 mm reel seat so the O.D needs to be under .78" about 4" down from the small end. Oh, and they need to be at least 15" long. Oh, and I need at least two of them. Taper shouldn't be a real issue here. Anybody got anything like this that they are willing to sell and ship to me pretty quik? I've looked at Aluminum tubing and it's just too heavy.
Thanks, Greg Marshall Re: Blank Extensions

Go to your local pro shop and check out their gold club replacement shafts.

I have extended about 20 rod blanks by 6" to 15" by using 3/4" OD aluminum tubing. There are at least 2 wall thicknesses available for this tubing. The thinnest I have found is a little over .660" ID and is available at Lowes. 3/4" ID EVA fits perfectly as do 20 mm reelseats from Batson and Pacific Bay. I'm sure others will also. I have used this for rod blanks as light as 12-20 lb with no noticeable effect on the finished rod.- Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
