Short rod build

Ok so about 2 months ago I purchased several old Lamiglas fiberglass blanks.
While working at the Sacramento ISE, I was able to meet up with an old Lamiglas rep. He told me that the Proffesional Outdoor Products company was the distributor name for Herters.
The blanks could actually be called Lamiglas/Fenwick, the only difference was a slight color change of yellow.
Got a pretty good history lesson.
I said I would post more info if I found out.

On another note, I have built one into a crankbait rod (784) and the other into a swimbait rod (626-with matching extension to about 76").
The one that is left is the 684 mod-action blank and I don't know what to do with it.
I'm not to hot on the idea of a pistol grip...
Any suggestions out there?

-Devin

The 684 should make an excellent crank bait or trolling rod.
