Salmon Expo

The Mohawk Valley (NY) Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting it's annual Salmon Expo this April and they have asked me if I would accept a booth to promote rod building and repair. I have agreed and am working on a slide show presentation along with demos and videos runnning on a TV. If anyone, shop, or sponsor who happens to read this (emails to sponsors will be sent) would care to contribute photos, catalogs or P.O.S., it would be greatly appreciated and proudly displayed. Rather than attempt to sell anyone on a custom rod, I have chosen to promote rod building and rod repair in attempt to educate more people to the how's and why of custom rods. We are also attempting to create a new program locally (to begin with) with the VA for our Vets and hope this will be a launching point as far as awareness and support are concerned ( nothing financially will be accepted). This is a first for me, so I am very open to suggestions, advice and the like. Supplies, equipment, catalogs and such will be displayed and discussed with attendies. i really need some help with this guys. I'm not doing it in hopes of personal profit but for educational purpsoses and in hope of support for the afore mentioned VA program. Please feel free to email. I will provide my phone number upom receipt. I do realize that most of you who attended the Expo are still reeling ( no pun intended). Wish I could have made it this year. Thank you in advance for your advice !

Ray

I think this is a wonderful project to undertake. I wish I could be there to help you out. There has to be a way to get this worked into the VA. For the VETS that need something to take their minds of everyday stress's it would be perfect. There is probably a bunch of ways that it can be worked into rehab programs for the VETS. If there is any way I can help from Alaska let me know.
