Thread color choice??

I am finishing a St. Croix SCV blank that is in the new Forest Green Pearl.
The client wants a thread color that is invisible on the blank. i.e. a thread that is a perfect match for the blank. To do this, I want to use a nylon thread - i.e. non ncp - that normally gets darker and more translucent as the finish is applied. I currently don't have a thread that is quite close enough for the perfect match. To avoid buying another dozen spools of thread, does any one have any experience with this particular blank color and thread choice for a perfect color match so that the thread will be essentially invisible on the blank. I do NOt want to use an NCP thread. In the mud hole color chart, I am thinking that perhaps the 567 Taupe might be close, but I don't have the thread in front of me to check. IN the Gudebrod, possibly a 1892 or 5896 green ? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Roger Re: Thread color choice??

You probably can go to a sewing center such as Joann or something and buy embroidery thread. I understand the the Medira poly is the same as A thread. This was the same thread the NERBS was using for thier packag thread. Re: Thread color choice??

Nylon A White, no CP or a white silk. Totally goes translucent. SK Custom Rods American Tackle Pro Staff Fish now, cause you'll be dead for a long time. Re: Thread color choice??

Thanks for the thoughts.
I have finally found the match. Dark forest green is just the right color. Fishhawk has a nice matching color - but it is in metallic. I also see that Mederia has a similar color in their nylon so perhaps it will work. I have also found several different poly sewing threads which match as well and I will try them for wrapping to see how they work. Thanks again. Roger Re: Thread color choice??

If you want it to go translucent I don't see using sewing thread as you would have to cp it.
