Bill,
Fishsticks has some CTS fly rod blanks in that size listed. Give them a call and see if they have one in stock. I have two CTS fly rods and they are a great product. Re: 16 - 18 wt spin blank

Look for a Back Bouncing blank. They make tremendous blue water fly rods. Stay under 9 feet, though, for better leverage without having to reach up on the rod.

This is a good example about rod design and action a blank doesn't know what is suppose to be until it is built Good Wraps Bob Re: 16 - 18 wt spin blank

I had mentioned these blanks that have the grams listed But they don't seem to be popular ?? [www.mudhole.com] Bill - willierods.com Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/05/2011 04:45PM by bill boettcher. Re: 16 - 18 wt spin blank

The ERN for a 16 wt is listed at 173 pennies, I assume there's math somewhere to calculate how many pennies for an 18 wt. Keep trying blanks until one third deflection requires that amount of pennies . . . or you could reverse engineer the lure ratings. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
