I am trying to match thread to a Pflueger Arbor spinning reel on a matte black blank.
Just looking for suggestions on a color scheme.

Thanks

Josh,
If you don't have one, do yourself a favor and get a color wheel.
The use of a good color wheel makes color matches and contrasts much easier.

Here is one version of a color wheel: [www.thisoldhouse.com]

There are more complex ones, and simpler ones. Do some searching on line. Mudhole sells one that I'm sure is higher quality than you can print from a computer: [www.mudhole.com]
