Is anyone out there printing their own waterslide decals?I am wanting to try it.I have the paper coming, white and clear for inkjet printers.Have been looking for the Krylon Acrylic sealer recommended but so far have only been able to find it in a satin finish. Is this what I need or is there a gloss formula? Is there a substitute I could use?Any info or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

You don't want anything gloss. It will repel your epoxy.

Sorry Tom but I"ve experienced nothing but good results with the Krylon Crystal Clear Gloss for the past two years. I'm very careful not to touch the surface of the decal once I begin the process of placing it on the rod so perhaps that has something to do with it.

Thanks,
Chad Huderle

I have used the Krylon Acrylic sealer and had no problums at all just dont finger the decal aqnd you should be good.
Another helpfull hint if you are printing only 1 is to print on paper and scotch tape the water slide materal over that spot that way you dont waist alot of materal.

I have used both Gloss and Flat Krylon Acrylic with very good results. Just picked up a can of Krylon Flat UV Acrylic - seems great so far.

Michaels has a pretty good selection
