Clamping angled eva

Was wondering how you guys clamp any angled eva strips together when making handles.
Ends and rings would be similar to cork.

As Billy and John stated, just press together. Had I not seen it I wouldn't ha\ve believed it. I watched Billy make a grip at one of the NERB gatherings in January. He took the triangle shaped pieces and made the grip. It was pretty cool. This is the result.

since you are in jersey you could learn from the master with eva Billy vivona by attending a nerbs event. he seems to have quite a few in your neck of the woods

Follow the can directions, apply to both pieces and let dry for the listed time. Then press together. Be careful to align it right ,you got one chance. I usually do a dry fit and then pen a line between the two pieces to assure proper alignment. Put down some wax paper on a flat surface so you can slide the two together. That makes it so you only need to align one plane. Slide together and make sure the pen line is going to align before pressing together.

I could probably use the bored hole in the blocks I am going to get to align the strips and sections.

Bill -
I think you'll find that solid blocks are easier to work with - at least for me they are. Glue them and bore them after they're glued

I would have to bore with a drill free hand. Don't think it would work well. The bored ones if I have to in-large gives a guide to make it straight Got to also get a miter box to cut them. No room for a chop saw.

Personal preference = a good band saw with a fence & miter works much better. Maybe Billy V will pick up on this thread tomorrow - I think he's doing a NERBs seminar today that includes working with EVA
