Anyone know where I can get one? I had a strange request for a new build. needs to be tough.

kinda like this one......... [www.jannsnetcraft.com]

NOT like the american tackle BGB's. more like the non-fouling type.

Thanks!

Garrett

I believe what you are looking for is GUDEBROD AETNA guides , I scrounge mine from older clunker rods , clean them up for use. These are cool called non-fouling guides. A popular guide in the 70's , some wire former kits had layouts for these guides , and could be hand made cheap and easy, I made one about a size 200 for my demonstrator jig from aluminum wire, I used a can for a form .Smaller ones could be made using dowels as a form and stainless wire . If not look for these guides on old surf rods for the size you are looking for, they are out there and can be found , good hunting and good luck ! Larry

Aetna Foulproofs were never made in a size 50 as far as I know. They're a very light duty guide - very good guides, but not meant for heavy duty rods. They were made from light Monel wire.
