Hi All
Are wire SF guides measured the same as snakes? Im building a 6' and a 7' 4/5wt and wanted to use single foot guides instead of snakes.
Thanks for any help
Rick

They should be the same size. If you have a Mudhole catalog look on page 9. I use that page as a reference when ordering snakes or one foot wire guides. I do prefer the one foot guides now over the snakes. I just like the looks of them on my rods.

Since you like them get several sizes. They are cheap, and you will use them on other rods. This way you can check or knot passage.and have them in storage.

You can also go to say St Croix's site and see what they are using on there rod of the same. Then get that size and smaller. Factory rods usually have guides larger then needed. Depending on knots being passed.

The larger ones you can - after you learn what sizes you will use - for ice rods.
Every thing has a use some where That reminds me I got to get some more, running out. .
