ProWrap Colorfast Thread...?

I have always used Gudebrod Thread for years. With the recent lack of selections, I bought some ProWrap "colorfast" Florecent Orange for trim bands on guides I'd already wrapped while waiting on the ProWrap to arrive in the mail. When I tried to do the trip bands, the prowrap thread WILL NOT hold the tie-off thread in place while I try to trim the tag ends. I have tried 10X times and even tried wiping the thread with alcohol, thinking there was too much "chalk" on the thread... didn't do anything to help.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know of a "work around"?
Thanks,
Jeff

"I did try doing some trim bands with the "black colorfast" and it works fine"? Both of these threads are size "A".
