CP On Waterslide Decals?

After applying holograhic paper on the rod blank then positioning the inkjet waterslide decal previously sprayed with clear Krylon acrylic I waited for it to dry. Then I read that some people put CP on their decals before epoxy so for extra measure I did this but now you can see the brush marks on the decal. Will these go away after I epoxy the decal or should I start over without the CP? Thanks,

I have never used CP on my waterslide decals and I haven't had problems with the inkjet ink lifting.
My guess is that the brush marks will continue to be visible after epoxy.

They'll disappear in the epoxy. The idea behind applying CP to the decal is to help the epoxy better adhere. Sometimes a slick decal will repel an epoxy finish.

i don't use it on water slide, but i do use it on vinyl and the finish hides any sign of the CP

I have never used CP on any water slide decals and have not had any problems with the epoxy directly on the decal. Of course I do put a coat of epoxy down on the blank before applying the decal.

Dan what I have used is clear Testors model paint. I applied a coat after applying the decal and have never had any issues.

Tight lines,

John
