Nerbs in Wisconsin

Hello all, the Wisconsin Nerbs gathering held January 22nd is in the books and was a lot of fun. There was a total of 25 builders at the event and they ranged in experience from beginner to experienced builder. We had a good bunch with presentations that ranged from beginning rod building, feather inlays, tools, butt wraps and segmented turnings. The attendees also came together from quite a distance as we had people from WI, MN, IA and IL. I would also like to thank North Fork Composites, Batson Enterprises, and Rodmaker Magazine for donating door prizes to the gathering. We also received catalogs from Anglers Resource and Mudhole to hand out to the attendees. I would like to also thank Billy and Mike for starting the Nerbs in the first place. The spirit of the Nerbs truly is a state of mind. Thanks again Mark Blabaum

Mark,

Thank you for providing the opportunity for the gathering. It is truly a pleasure to meet people that I have followed over the years but have not had the pleasure to meet personally. What a great group of people we addicted rodbuilders are! It really is amazing how willing everyone is excited to share ideas and perpetuate our craft. I also would like share my appreciation to those that contributed to the gathering. I would also like to thank all of you that gave presentations at the event. One of these days I will be able to wrap my little brain around your woodworking talent, I hope. Thank you all for the inspiration to elevate the craft. The only down side is that fishing is fishing otherwise it would be called catching.
