Anybody ever build for a fireman?

I am going to surprise my nephew with a F.D.N.Y. themed med/heavy saltwater boat rod for his birthday. I have some ideas derived from images of NY firetrucks.....red blank....gold/white wraps....Maybe "KEEP BACK 200 FEET" in block letters somewhere. Has anybody ever done one for a fireman? Have any suggestions or pics I can use? Is there somewhere I can get the FDNY logo made into a decal?

I would appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Thanks
Joe

It's labelled FDNY here: [northeastrodbuilders.com] DOwn at the bottom of Grip Gallery #2. I used the guys number and the FDNY logo as the image to inlau in the grips.

That is very cool Billy. Thanks, although I have never attempted an inlay that is certainly something I will try to incorporate into the rod.

Do you have any other images of the rod? I would be very interested to see your wraps and color choices.

I sell inlayed grips made to specs to both rod customers and other rod builders. The rod was built with blak, red and white wraps. I didn't build the rod, I onoy made the grips for another builder who built the rest of the rod.
