Guide placment on bends

I saw the other post giving info on spinning rods. But what is the recommendation for wrapping on casting rods? I have been doing all of mine with the bend pointing upward. Re: Guide placment on bends

The rod blank doesn't know if it's a spinning or casting rod. You can do one just as you do the other. Not sure what the point would be in doing a spinning one way and casting another.

Don't think spine is on the bend or curve. Usually off to one side of it. Re: Guide placment on bends

spine and curve are two different things. In my opinion, curve is relevant, spine is not Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
