Double stick tape

Make sure you don't put it directly on the blank or fore grip.
This is B-40s method. Tape popsicle stick to rod. Then wrap paper towel around stick and cover with masking tape. Now you can put carpet tape over masking tape. Easy removal without harming blank. If I missed anything I'm sure someone will jump in.

All carpet tape is not the same. Some is quite heavy and thick and really doesn't stick all that well. I've found that the very thin, clear stuff from Scotch (3M) works well. Sorry, I threw the box away so don't have the number. Lots of the thick stuff out there, but I've had to search for the thin one.

The brand that i have is made by duct tape. Almost out don't remember which home store had it.. Think i'm getting some CRS lately.

For what do you use double stick tape? I've never used it in building rods.

I use it for butt wraps, to temporally hold all of the individual threads before applying the base wraps to secure everything.
