I received a 3 wt 6'6" Mod/Fast . blank.
What do you think would be some good options for a reel seat and grip? Re: reel seat and grip options

Something simple. A cork sliding band seat and cigar grip. Jann's has a good little kit with both for not much money. Should go far in keeping the weight of your rod down. Re: reel seat and grip options

A couple of the sponsors on the left carry REC grips and slide band reel seats. I have used 6.5 inch grips from REC and their slide band seats on several 6'-6" 3wt blanks and that combination worked real nice. REC also has some nice wood to choose from without getting real expensive. Re: reel seat and grip options

I would use a sz 16 skeleton spin seat with a cork insert, light weight, nice looking, secure locking.
The hoods are available in Gold, Silver, Black, Tich, Holo, and Blue. Best wishes, Ron Schneider Schneider's Rod Shop Mountain Home, Arkansas [www.schneidersrods.com] mtnron40@yahoo.com 870-424-3381 Re: reel seat and grip options

I would use one of the Lemke Concepts LC2 reel seats with your choice of wood, or acrylic for the insert Ron Weber Re: reel seat and grip options

A nice uplocking reel seat and a cigar cork grip goes very well with that blank. I have built a number of them that way for many satisfied customers. Re: reel seat and grip options
