Ok here goes. I am looking for a pink rod blank for halibut fishing. My buddies wife up in AK always complains she does not have her own rod. She also complains that everyone grabs her rod when we head out. I would love to make her a pink rod. Any one know where i can get a 5-6 ft pink blank that will handle 65lb line? Kevin,
Get the blank you like and either have it painted, or paint it yourself. Roger Re: Pink blank needed

Lamiglas makes a fabulous variety of blanks for halibut and they will custom color it for a nominal fee. Last one I have colored cost $22 over the regular price of the blank. Re: Pink blank needed

There are some white blanks that meet your specifications. Wrap your guides (chrome preferably) with pink thread and it WILL be chick-friendly. The nice thing is that the white blank REALLY makes the wraps pop like crazy. It is also a nice contrast for the grips and any crosswrap you might choose to do. Re: Pink blank needed

I agree with Jim on this one.
If you use pink thread and want it to pop, be sure to use CP on it to keep the pink nice and bright. Also, if you use gold guides, it will really sparkle with the white blank and pink wraps. Use gold lettering and you will be set. Roger Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/25/2010 11:38PM by roger wilson. Re: Pink blank needed
