Hi,
I am waiting for my finish to arrive but would like to finish an ice rod I built for my father.
I used NCP thread, can I finish the threads with slow setting epoxy?

You can, but it's not the best idea. Epoxy adhesive won't be very clear, nor very flexible.

Not really Nick,

Epoxy adhesive is not the same as epoxy finish and I doubt you would like the result.

That's what I thought.
I don't understand our postal systems. If I order something from Japan it gets to me in days.
I order from the US and it takes weeks sometimes.
Damn customs delays!

Nick,
I don't know what country that you are in.
If you are in Canada, you can often save weeks of shipping time by specifying that shipments only be made via UPS.

UPS has its own customs officials and generally has very little if any customs delays in its shipments.

In contrast, I have had US mail shipments stay tied up in customs for over a month.

I have had good luck getting product from Rodbuilder supplies on the Left. There are also a couple of tackel shops in TO that carry some building supplies.
