First Micro Build

I am starting a carolina rig rod, I will be using micros probably 3.5 or 4 mm guides, I will be using braided line on this rig. I have a couple of questions. Should I use a locking wrap?. when a locking wrap is used do you still have enough play to move the guide slightly to align them?
Thanks
Jeff

Good question - I'm building a T-rig rod right now also with 3 mm micros for flourocarbon. I was planning on using locking wraps and was assuming I would have enough play to adjust them prior to CP and finish.

I would recommend locking wraps. yes you will be able to move things around , however with a slight more difaculty. May have to wiggle them a little opposed to just pushing them over to center

With a C-rig I also suggest staying with a 6mm tip becasue of the tendency to reel the swivel up into it.

I've just finished 2 rods with teh Forhan locking wrap, I guess thats what you are referring to, and yes i was able to move them to get them in line with the tip and the butt guides, at first I thought that i wouldn't be able to cause i wrappes them kinda tight, but it all turned out good, i was able to move them to get them in line with the others.

yes on both counts.

i wrap pretty tight, so when adjusting the guides, i push on the eyelet with one hand and with the other hand also put pressure on the tip of the foot with my fingernail so the guide stays straight.. Pretty easy to adjust and they stay put once you get them there.

Regards,
-Justin
