Those of you who have attended the RodMaker Reception at prior Expo events are aware of the large number of door prizes we award each year. The 2011 Reception will be no different.

Most companies make their door prize donations on that Friday during Expo set up, but a few commit earlier. Here’s a same sample of what’s on tap for this year:

Renzetti Master Rod Lathe - Renzetti, Inc.
Batson Wrapping Machine - Batson Enterprises
RX Rod Blanks - Batson Enterprises
Eco Wrapper - The Rod Shop
3 Dozen Reel Seats - Pacific Bay, Int.
Full Complement Rod Building Tools (wrapper, dryer, etc.) - Okie Rod Building Tools
SHX Rod Blanks - Bingham Enterprises
Threadmaster Epoxy and Fishhawk Thread Kits - Roddancer Products
LiquiGlass Epoxy Kits - Industrial Coatings Co.
Fishing Rod - Seeker Rod Co.
Guide to Thread Weaving - Jim Upton
3 Acrylic Barreled Reel Seats - Swampland Rods

The above is just a sample of the items provided. By the time of the actual event, there will be roughly 150 door prizes in place and ready to give away. There is nothing to buy - I don’t charge anyone, anything. Everything is given away free, including the refreshments.

The new location for the Reception will provide a tad more elbow room this year. We were just about beyond the fire code capacity at the hotel ballroom.

I am looking to attending the Expo. I use to build custom rods about thirty years ago. I am looking to getting back into the trade at this time. I reliaze that there have been many advancement made in the past years and I am needing to get up with this. I am hoping that the Expo will help in this.
