By request we searched all of or wood sources in the far north and found some gorgeous Northern White Cedar. This came from a small "mom and pop" sawmill in the UP of Michigan. Northern White Cedar is a rod building classic that goes back to the old days of rod building. Very strong straight grained and light in weight, the pieces we have posted on our website weigh LESS than 5 ounces per piece. Sticks measure 1 5/8"x1 5/8"x11 1/2". This wood has been kiln dried to 8% moisture and is ready to turn. They are listed on our website under Unstabilized Wood Blanks. Questions or comments, please let us know. Thanks.
