Halibut Rod Blank Suggestion

I'm planning on making a custom rod for a friend of mine in Canada. He catches 80+ lb halibut routinely and perfers a 6' rod length. I'm thinking of making it a spiral wrap. What blank would you suggest for this rod and guide part numbers and sizes.

Thanks
Jim

James,

The Batson blank is awsome. Mike or Bill turned me on to it a few years back and it is outstanding. I have the MH and the H and have reeled in 147 pound flatty on the H and a 92 pounder on the MH. Highly reccomended.

Tight Lines,

John
