unclear spine

second build, first blank that spine is not obvious, keeps flattening each 180 degree turn. this is a rainshadow 10'8" 6wt (IF1086-4) blank. advice, suggestions?

I don't worry about the spine. I always build on the staightest axis. I dont think its a big deal.IMO. Some will disagree i'm sure.

Ignore the spine as it has no effect on the rods performance or appearance.

Another Kuco for an excellent blank, that is essentially "spineless".
Don't worry about the spine as others have stated and simply build on the straightest axis on the blank.

Sounds like you have a blank with two imaginary "somethings" at 3 and 9 o'clock when the blank is in a relaxed stressed state. Since it's your project, you can build it on one of those relaxed positons or you can use the straightest axis - you get to pick whichever way you want to build it.
