Got a request for an 8ft Bonefish Spinning rod with "medium-light" action. Titanium guides. Not sure yet of what lb. test.
Any blank recommendations for starter would be great. Seems like there are plenty of 7'6" blanks, but not many 8 footers. Recommendations? Re: 8ft Bonefish Spinning Rod Blank?

I assume you mean "Medium-Light Power". Take a look at the St Croix SCIII Inshore 3SW80MLF. That should do nicely paired with the new "K" series Fuji Titanium SiC guides. Re: 8ft Bonefish Spinning Rod Blank?

There is always the option of extending a 7'6" blank as well. Keep in mind you will create a much faster action blank by going this route.
I very much agree with Jim to look to St Croix for this one. Re: 8ft Bonefish Spinning Rod Blank?

Consider the Batson Popping blanks, IP963 in 1 pc, IP963F in 2 pc, or the new XP963 RX8 graphite in 1 pc.
Light, more moderate tip areas with strong backbone. Here are some links; [www.schneidersrods.com] [www.schneidersrods.com] Best wishes, Ron Schneider Schneider's Rod Shop Mountain Home, Arkansas [www.schneidersrods.com] mtnron40@yahoo.com 870-424-3381 Re: 8ft Bonefish Spinning Rod Blank?

Todd, I assume this isn't listed on the website yet. Or maybe I am blind. In any case is there any possibility you might offer a really heavy hot shot blank at some point? I'd love one in something like a 20-40 pound rating around 7'6" or 8'. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: 8ft Bonefish Spinning Rod Blank?

I'll throw a curve ball in here as well.......The current rod the guy likes has a 4lb-6lb line class rating on it, and he is fishing 10lb braid.
Any further recommendations, or stick to what is already listed above? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
