How about trying Jimmi Ellis at Southern Graffix, A sponsor on the left of this page. He is world renowned in the art of designing and making decals. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: Full color custom decals?

what type of quantity are you looking for? There are several companies out there that produce outstanding full color decals, but you need to be able to order a volume of identical decals. ----------------- AD Re: Full color custom decals?

Not huge volume, but I would take 100 or so. Re: Full color custom decals?

Along with Southern Graphics, Decal Connection could easily handle that task. So could Mud Hole.

You may also need to have St Croix's permission to duplicate their logo Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/27/2010 10:42AM by Steve Gardner. Re: Full color custom decals?

I think he was just using St. Croix's decal as an example of the size, type, etc., that he's looking to have made for his own custom rod business.

Yes. Looking to make decals of our personal logo. Unemplyement (ex custom home builder) has prompted me to step into the highly competitive market of OEM fly rods. At least I will be doing something I love. I was burnt out at being a general contractor anyway....lol. Thanks guys....and wish me luck. I'm gonna need it. Re: Full color custom decals?

For what Larry is wanting to do, some of the sponsors mentioned don't have the printing capability - not sure that any of them do. He's wanting some pretty complex, full color stuff.
I went through this when exploring screening vs decals vs pad printing (reference an earlier post). I was surprised to learn how many OEMs still use decals. I figured most screened or pad printed. Not the case. There are some print shops out there that cater specifically to small decal design for bicycles, fishing rods, etc and produce very high quality products and the prices are reasonable and volumes are not through the roof. ----------------- AD Edited 1 time(s). Full color decals for my production rods. Made by Decal Connection and designed by Jimi Ellis with Southern Grafix. I have other colors depending on the type of rod I'm building. Purple decals are for my freshwater rods and lime green decals are for my inshore series rods. Other colors I use are red, blue, orange, and gold and silver. They are very reasonably priced when ordered in larger quantities.

We're talking about different types of "full color".
[www.rodbuilding.org] Take a look at the multi color logos, colored printing on clear backer without using a double print over white (which sometimes the backer color is visible but can give a cool shadow effect - just not predictable). It just depends on what you are looking for. ----------------- AD Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
