HI Guy's...just got back from my local Rod Building supplier. When i noticed 6 bottles of Gudebrod #111 Colour preserver under one of the display counters. it is amber in colour and are in glass bottles. im familiar with #811, i have used it. The young Lad behind the the counter was not familiar with it. [ part time student staff ]. just curious if any of you Gentleman are familiar with Gudebrod # 111 CP. i take it if it has turned Amber it is likely quite old...correct?? Cheers!!....Wayne

Never seen 111. Only 811. And it was milky-clear. Not amber at all. The 111 might be the very old lacquer type. The glass bottle might indicate that it is a lacquer. Couldn't put that in a plastic bottle.

That is a stash of nitro-cellulose laquer that was manufactured either by,or for,Gudebrod. Probably packaged for them. Its only value is nostalgia or to match restorations. Just my .02 worth...There are newer and better products on the market now. Stick with those instead.

I've got a collection of old varnish, lacquer and CP bottles on the shelf in my shop. If you go back to that place and they are still there I'd pay you to pick up 2 of them for me.
