I have just gotten some titanium guides casting and some titanium micros, NIRLC and NIRLF type from Amercan Tackle, my ? is, can they be sanded down or filed for preperation? And how hard will be to file or sand?

Yes, they can be filed or sanded and are not significantly more difficult than any other guide

Lorenzo,

The prep is no different than with any other guide. The titanium material though somewhat harder and extremely corrosion resistant will file or sand down easily.

Tight lines,

John

Lorenzo -
What you will notice if you sand them is that you will see "white hot" sparks rather than the duller yellow from other guide frames.

Good luck on the micro guides like the 3mm ones, I can just about see them let alone hold one, anyone have any tricks for holding these very small guides?

I have very fine needle nose pliars that I have put tape over the jaws and they work well. I only do the very tip of the guide foot on the micros, just enough for the thread to catch on.
