I wouldn't mind building another Salomon/Steelhead rod but there doesn't seem to be many 8' - 9' 3 piece blanks in the 8-12#, 3/4-1oz -ish blanks available. I saw a St Croix SCII and a Traveler series from American Tackle but both were only in the 7' - 7 1/2' range. I don't want to use a fly blank, I realy want a solid butt section in a spinning blank. Thanks. Re: Any 3 pc Salmon/Steelhead blanks now?

Tim, Check with Anglers Workshop. I believe they carry such a blank in their store brand. I don't know who makes their blanks but they are a very good quality blank. When I sold rods I built on many of their multi-piece blanks for travel rods. I highly recommend them. Re: Any 3 pc Salmon/Steelhead blanks now?

Usually it a 8 to 17 or 10 to 20 lb line class rod with that lure rating. Mudhole has the 3 piece Lamiglas Kenai Special blank rated 1/2 to 1 3/4 oz GSA 102 3H, 12 to 25 lb line rating. I too have used the very nice quality Angler's Workshop IM6 root beer brown blanks built on their designs by Talon. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
