Micro Guides

Has any one put micro guides on a steelhead rod, I have a 9' 6" 4 to 8 LB line , would the micros work, this is a spinning rod? Re: Micro Guides

Just built a batson xst1143 with fuji 4s. Mine is casting however, but i cant see that meaning much, great rod. Re: Micro Guides

You can use the smallest guides that will still pass your line and any connections.

Take a look at a graphic comparison of the line you are considering in comparison to the internal diameter of the guide.
[www.rodbuilding.org] If you are seeking guides all vendor's who advertise on this forum use the term micro guide or mini guide when referenceing the guides you are considering. Specific guides which will meet the requirements you seek have been used on saltwater vertical jig rods. They will meet the strength requirements for muskie rods. The "M" frame spinning guide down to 4 mm has been used on production rods for that line weight for 20 years. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
