Anyone know what's out there for rod balancing butt caps? The only two I see are Batson's - which are nice for heavier bass rods, and Fuji's - which does not fit the end of standard rod grips.
Thanks, Marc Re: Rod Balancing Butt Caps?

Matagi has a system but you may not be able to find one. You would probably have to order it from Japan. A few people on here order from them regularly. They may be willing to get you one with their next order.

I am sure I have seen them either on Mudhole or Jann's Netcraft. Sorry I haven't taken the time to research it for you...but have seen themonline.
I personally do not like metal reel seats. I know the reel on the very end of the rod is a sweet feel. But I like 10-12" TN handles with slip rings. I can slide the reel forward or aft....and get balance with a reel if it is not too far off. Different rod feel...but I like it. So much easier and faster to build as well. Just ream the cork to fit and glue it on. No arbor build up...etc....Pretty quick and simple build guess I am just lazy.... Re: Rod Balancing Butt Caps?

I have bought several from Mike Harris on the board here. They are adjustable, look good, and are easy to install. Don't know if he still sells them or not but I really like the system. Re: Rod Balancing Butt Caps?

Call Lance at Swampland on the left. I've used all sizes he sells. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
